Aristotle's metaphysics, his account of nature and causality, was for the most part turned down from the early contemporary philosophers. Francis Bacon in his Novum Organon in a single rationalization of the case for rejecting the idea of a formal bring about or "mother nature" for each variety of factor, argued for instance that philosophers need
